Feed My Sheep
« on: November 24, 2012, 08:51:19 am »
   Three times the Lord asked Peter, do you love me Peter and every time Peter said yes and then Jesus said , Feed My Sheep. I've been asked why I have to teach or why I must correct people several times and there is the answer. What is it that peter knew that would feed the flock of Jesus that they didn't. right from the time when Jesus asked who do they say he was, it was Peter that got it right when he said you are the son of the living God. Why Peter and if the Lord teaches everyone , why then ask Peter to feed his sheep. What Peter received from the Lord was from the Father above. God is Spirit and flesh and blood cannot teach you Spirit. There it is with the Spiritual teaching, the rest is past. You cannot dwell on the past and what has happened in your life when you come to the Lord and it is the same way with the Spirit. You cannot dwell on the flesh once you've been touched by the Spirit. Remember me Lord when you come into your kingdom. Thy kingdom come. Do not think on the Lord as one dead and forgotten but remember him as one alive and risen and you will also be as one remembered and known by the Lord, alive. God is the God of the living.

   I have fallen far from the Lord because of my impacence and want for some glory of my own but the teaching I have are not mine, they are the Lords and FLESH AND BLOOD HAS NOT TAUGHT ME . I'm happy to be hear with this theology he has given me and hope we can all remember the Lord as risen together. There is only one thing I can say right now. I love the Lord. I love him with all my heart and all my soul and nothing in this world compared to him.

Thank you for sharing both the Word and that heart warming testimony with us Colin!

"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2

Colin,

It was never that I meant not for you to teach, but that I know sometimes its a burden more than a joy.  I just hate to see you get sad and frustrated.

Please also consider:

Quote
1 John 2:24-29

King James Version (KJV)

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

This seems to say that once given the Spirit, we need not that man teach us, but that the Spirit can take over as we abide in Him.  Of course we may help one another, but abiding in Christ is the main thing.  This was also written, it seems, to prevent Jesus' followers from falling into error by the "seduction" of men not of the Spirit and not abiding in Him.  It was an assurance of keeping your faith pure by abiding in what you heard from the beginning, assuming, that is, that Truth is what you did, in fact, hear at the beginning

This was written by John, often thought to be the most spiritual of the Gospel-writers.  The disciple Jesus loved.

I've found this verse a personal comfort after learning of the confusion of things being taught in this faith.  It's become a matter of trusting the Spirit to help me sort it all out instead of listening to the conflicting teachings of many different men.

It also goes along with this, from Sirach:

Quote
Sirach 2:17-18

17: They that fear the Lord will prepare their hearts, and humble their souls in his sight,
18: Saying, We will fall into the hands of the Lord, and not into the hands of men: for as his majesty is, so is his mercy.

I do believe you when you say that flesh and blood has not taught you.  Your teachings are quite unique and you know I always ponder them and have learned many things from you.

So . . . I'm glad you're here posting, for sure.  I've no doubt you love the Lord and that what you do you are doing for Him.
I've missed you much.

        I do not have a problem seeing that you and a few others are now coming into spiritual sight. It makes me happy and my hope is that this forum, this one right here, and the few of us here, I hope we can all overcome together and not just on this part called spiritual interpretation , the whole thing. I see you and John and now patrick too moving in the Spirit. There are a few back on the other forum too but not many. Did you catch that where i was saying we have to stop dwelling on the past, that part that was flesh. I can't go back there and have to give the spirit 100 percent. I know this, we have to move where Jesus moves and raise with him and this is my purpose. This is what the Lord has given me to do and you all can say what you like but this is also what the Lord told me I will do, I must do. Let us all move forward together now, out of this bondage of sin and show the world just what is was Jesus was all about, his teachings, his life. Not about walking on water and men catching a lot of fish. Its about the building of the church in righteousness and the true members being like he was and is. Its about opening peoples eyes to the things of God and coming out of that great **** Babylon. I understand now why bondage is nesessary to combat evil but I think this is the time when his church should be raised and there should be an end to the lies and deceit, the mark of that beast removed from good people. Our robes should be washed now and we can present ourselves to him so he can hand over the kingdom to his father. Thats where we should be now. I can't stand to hear the foolishness anymore, I hate it now.

    This will sound wrong to all of you but this is what I think. People talk about how much you have to go threw to join some forums but I think for us, we should make it a 100 times harder. If people don't believe what the Spiritual teachings say, if it was my decision I would say they are not worthy or elegable to join. How about that. I think we should be like the disciples and move into the upper room and shut the doors and call and waite upon the Lord to show us what to do next. I know he will. People want a million people on their forums when we only need a dozen, after that people get converted.

HI YA "colin"

let this be "my" real welcome to you in comeing to "MY"  forum

M FORUM ? ; YES IT IS
i think you will find what you and some others have been missing in the other forum
THUS ; it is my great pleasure to CO-EXIST  with NANCY'S praise forum ;
for it frees this forum from te general conversation
AS WELL as it frees her forum from a place of debate

        I do not have a problem seeing that you and a few others are now coming into spiritual sight. It makes me happy and my hope is that this forum, this one right here, and the few of us here, I hope we can all overcome together and not just on this part called spiritual interpretation , the whole thing. I see you and John and now patrick too moving in the Spirit.

the small group on this forum will have questions put to them ;
and will only serve its true purpose if ;
questions are asked back and
comments are made and opinions are shared

 There are a few back on the other forum too but not many. Did you catch that where i was saying we have to stop dwelling on the past, that part that was flesh. I can't go back there and have to give the spirit 100 percent. I know this, we have to move where Jesus moves and raise with him and this is my purpose.

this forum is no way represents are-forming of any other forum ;
and in fact ; it is being formed solely as a sounding board ;
for my-self { and any others } to bring out a deeper look into the issues of the bible ; mankinds story; ad the gospel story

 This is what the Lord has given me to do and you all can say what you like but this is also what the Lord told me I will do, I must do.

anything can be said on this forum ;
but the purpose of this forum is to "test" all that is said
let us take "it all apart" and see if we cant both share and improve upon what we have been given by god

 Let us all move forward together now, out of this bondage of sin and show the world just what is was Jesus was all about, his teachings, his life.

you will find a theme of this forum will be to show ;
it more than just the life of jesus { that is one of four aspects to the purpose of jesus coming here to earth }
his life will be given "equal time" to his birth; death; and promise to return

 Not about walking on water and men catching a lot of fish. Its about the building of the church in righteousness and the true members being like he was and is.

it is about .................................IS IT ? ; that is what this forum seeks to explore
not saying you are right or wrong ; but saying this forum needs a better foundation of statements {in time}
or should have ;

Thats where we should be now.

again; {in time} we need a better foundations for those statements
lol; and i know you can do this this ;
DON'T HURRY ; TAKE YOUR TIME
LET ALL WHO WISH BUILD AND EXPLORE THE STATEMENTS ; IN ORDER TO 'REALLY KNOW" THE SUBJECT MATTER

 I can't stand to hear the foolishness anymore, I hate it now.

YES; INDEED
thank you ; couldn't have said it any better

    This will sound wrong to all of you but this is what I think. People talk about how much you have to go threw to join some forums but I think for us, we should make it a 100 times harder.

lol; don't worry about that
make no mistake ; THIS IS MY FORUM
IT EXISTS FOR MY PLEASURE
I HAVE A BAN BUTTON ; AND A CAT {with lightning quick paws} TO STOP THOSE WHOSE AGENDAS ARE NOT IN LINE WITH THIS FORUM

 If people don't believe what the Spiritual teachings say, if it was my decision I would say they are not worthy or elegable to join. How about that.

TIME;will BRING ALL TO LIGHT; and then judgements can be made

 I think we should be like the disciples and move into the upper room and shut the doors and call and waite upon the Lord to show us what to do next. I know he will. People want a million people on their forums when we only need a dozen, after that people get converted.

THIS IS A "PERFECTING THE SAINTS" FORUM ----------------{ a study to improve knowledge of the gosple story}
if some get converted along the way "GREAT"
BUT THAT IS THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT ; and not mine

don't let this scare you ;
i feel this is the place where you can both share and improve your message
and that is the purpose of this forum for each of us

   Three times the Lord asked Peter, do you love me Peter

that is the way it sounds in english
but that not what is being said there

the words to each time jesus says that is different

the first time
--------------do you love adore and worship me?
the second time is
-------------do you love me?
the third time is
-------------- do you even like me ?

each time it hurt peter more and more ;

this was a breaking peter down ; so he could * remember ; all that had happened

is peter the leader of this group ?

peter doesn't ever think so after this conversation

peter now sees himself as one whom Jesus called to share ;
THE WITNEESSED ACCOUNT OF THE LIFE OF JESUS
what peter has to offer ; is not teaching
it is this witnessed account of the one teacher ; one lord , one saviour

    I've been asked why I have to teach or why I must correct people several times and there is the answer.

i understand; BUT --- if we are to do this THEN we must work on our presentation of what GOD has shown us { thus; the forums playground}

God is Spirit and flesh and blood cannot teach you Spirit.

open for debate ***
flesh and spirit ; are they ever together ?
the old man = body and soul
the new man = soul and spirit ; and the flesh/body is nothing but a vehicle that is used in this world for transportation
it ( the body) will never be eternal

 There it is with the Spiritual teaching, the rest is past. You cannot dwell on the past and what has happened in your life when you come to the Lord and it is the same way with the Spirit. You cannot dwell on the flesh once you've been touched by the Spirit. Remember me Lord when you come into your kingdom. Thy kingdom come. Do not think on the Lord as one dead and forgotten but remember him as one alive and risen and you will also be as one remembered and known by the Lord, alive. God is the God of the living.

yes ; but i want more foundation

   I have fallen far from the Lord because of my impacence and want for some glory of my own but the teaching I have are not mine, they are the Lords and FLESH AND BLOOD HAS NOT TAUGHT ME . I'm happy to be hear with this theology he has given me and hope we can all remember the Lord as risen together. There is only one thing I can say right now. I love the Lord. I love him with all my heart and all my soul and nothing in this world compared to him.

of coarse ; the flesh wants
but knowing this ; can't we also see those wants have nothing to do with the spirit ?

plato says ;
in seeking truth ; there is no winner in the debate
we seek not to win ; but to find the truth

thus; the testing of what we believe to be true ;
for if it is true ; it will stand the test
if it cracks somewhat ;
then we can look to see the actual truth better

looking forward to exploring more

    John, my fried, I've been angry at others and even myself for a while now. I'm over it. I withdrew myself for a while but now I feel the Lord moving in me and have that need to do the will of God. I missed you brother.

You were also missed, my friend!

I understand very well about the pressure on us at times, which makes us want to draw back. I also understand how frustrating it seems when so many people either do not care or completely misunderstand what is meant.

Just remember what Jesus said here:

"Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots." Luke 23:34

They did not know and did not understand what they were doing.

Some of those, who are seemingly uncaring or even cruelly callous and abrasive with regard to what we say, are likely among some of those, who "know not what they do". We must do as Jesus did and ask our Father to forgive them.

And then again:

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Rom 8:28
